Access to Open-Gardens (full list in the program) is via a paid wristband. This includes access to the the Farm-to-Fork festival site (see map in program, location 1). Both venues are ticketed via a wristband 11-5pm. The Spring Market, open-air in Mill Street (location 2 on the map), is FREE. Street performances are also provided free to the public, including those at St. Mary's Church. The Festival field will be free after 5pm until close. What we ask is for a donation via paid ticket (£8 for adults, in adv, or £10 on the day,

What is Ashwell at Home, and what is for?
Ashwell at Home, running for over 40 years, is a charity Non-Profit community event raising funds for Ashwell Village Museum, St.Mary's Church, Ashwell Primary School, and Ashwell Pre-School group. We are blessed with having many historical buildings in the village, some dating back to the 12th Century, which although provides us a rich history, these buildings always need constant maintenance due to their age. The aim of our annual village open day is to raise funds to cover these ongoing expenses, and provide added funds for activities at the Church, and two School groups. Ashwell also has a rich history of artisans, potters, weavers and ancient arts and crafts. When the World spins increasingly faster in the digital space, our open day provides a glimpse into a calmer and slower pace of life where we bring history to life using practical demonstratoins of crafts, music and dance and walking-talks. We open our village to welcome visitors from all the over the nearby 4 counties, and increasingly further afield, so everyone can experience a little village life in North Herts.

Can I bring my dog ?
Dogs are welcome, any exceptions to this are detailed in the program, where for example some open-gardens will ask you to lead your dog. Look for the paw print icon on the Open Gardens page in the program. Many residents also put water bowls outside for your furry friends to get a refresher. All of Ashwell's three pubs/restaurants are also dog friendly, and have water on offer.
